A Night Under the Stars // Priya & Aj Engagement Celebration

Priya and Aj are OFFICIALLY engaged…. they made it official surround by their immediate families. Their roka was suppose to be a bigger event but due to COVID they had to scale it back, but these two still created such a magical evening for their loved ones transforming their backyard into a beautiful space for their engagement.

I had a wonderful time capturing their families as they showered the couple with gifts and soooo much love. They became emotional at the beginning of the Roka ceremony and the tears turned into laughs very quickly. The smaller engagement party really allowed the families to become one. Aj even surprised Priya with a map of the sky above their home as a little souvenir of the night they made it official and forever captured in images and by the stars.

The decor was so dreamy and really brought the event together. Priya did not skip a detail, she had her and Aj’s initials and special quotes in every detail of the event built into every corner of their backyard engagement party.

There event is a perfect example of scaling back but not skipping on the decor. All the little details made everything that more magical. It means you can really go all out and create your dream event in your intimate space. Planning an intimate wedding or engagement party allows you to go for the extra details the you might have skipped on with a bigger event.
